The Armenian Gampr, also known as the Armenian Wolfhound or Armenian Sheepdog, is a large, powerful and ancient livestock guardian breed native to Armenia, weighing some 50 kg and standing at least 60 cm at the withers. Gamprs are agile and powerful dogs, capable of covering rugged terrain and facing harsh weather conditions. They possess great strength and endurance. The coat may be of any colour; it may be short or long, and always has a soft undercoat.
