McNab Dog

Often referred to as McNab Collies or Shepherds, McNab dogs were bred for the specific purpose of working ranches in the blazing heat and rugged terrain of Northern California, a task that was nearly impossible for the long-haired collies that typically worked on farms. The McNab’s short, slick coats and cat-like paws allowed them to withstand the heat and move nimbly over the scorching ground.
