The New Guinea Singing Dog is a medium-sized canine with a graceful gait, feline-like agility, impeccable hunting skills, and an impressive singing voice. They use vocalizations to communicate with other dogs and express themselves. Also known as New Guinea Highland Dogs or “Singers”, DNA testing has revealed these wily dogs are cousins of the Australian Dingo. They have a compact build, erect ears, and a dense, bushy tail. Their coat is typically short and coarse, with a sable or tan coloration.
