Tibetan Terriers, or “Tsang Apso”, are medium-sized dogs with a distinct double coat (although low-shedding), known for their intelligence, playfulness, and loyalty. They were bred as companion breeds, rather than for typical terrier traits. They were traditionally kept as companions and watchdogs in Buddhist Monasteries, and while they aren’t exactly cut out for guard dog duty they can be quite vocal at times, especially if they sense a threat nearby.
