The Cesky terrier pronounced “chess-kee” was originally bred in the Czech Republic, for which it is aptly named. Their gene pool is believed to contain a mix of Sealyham and Scottish Terriers as well as the Dandie Dinmont Terrier, which slightly resembles a Dachshund. Cesky Terriers are intelligent dogs that respond well to training. They are quick learners and enjoy mental stimulation, making them suitable for obedience training and various dog sports.
