Contrary to its name, the Kerry Beagle isn’t a Beagle at all, though it is closely related to the Hound family. While they may have played a large role in the development of other breeds, the Kerry Beagle is itself, quite rare. Built for speed and endurance, the Kerry Beagle was initially bred to help hunt all manner of game. Their expert scenting and tracking skills matched with their natural athleticism allowed them to excel at hunting.
